Christmas with Penny Black

Morning all today is the last challenge of this year over at Through the Purple Haze Challenges
and for this Challenge we are being Sponsored by Penny Black

and  the prize are these beautiful Stamp sets

Our Theme this week is "Here comes Christmas Day" and this is my take on it

The Image is stamped, onto brown card, with flitter glue and then Gliding flakes have been applied

I then layered it onto card that had been covered with the same gliding flakes, this was then layered onto a cream embossed layer. All corners were rounded using a decorative punch. A bow and bell was added to the top left hand corner
And three gold disc's topped with beads were added to the top right hand side

The card was finished with a computer generated sentiment.

Challenges I would like to enter this card into are:

I really hope you come to play along at TTPH

Hope you have a great day

Double Team Challenge at TTPH Challenges

Hi All, it's another Double Team Challenge over at TTPH
and This week we are sponsored by stitchy bear stamps and floppy latte designs
TEAM A
Prize $10 worth of Digi stamps
TEAM B
Prize $6 coupon

The Theme is Anything Goes

Here is what I made

This was a really fun image to work with so I decided I wanted to put it on to a card that was a little bit different to your standard card so I made a Joy fold Card

The basic card is made from a single A4 sheet cut in half to give you 2 A5 pieces of card, the first fold is scored at A5 on cardmaking score board and the second fold is a standard A6 card trimmed to 10.5 cm to give you a square. I then matted and layered with Red and patterned card each 1/2 cm smaller then the previous. The card was finished with a snow flake die cut and Blitter, 3 smaller Blitters and a tag on a peg which acts as a holder to close the card.

The image was coloured with Promarkers in Grey scale using cool grey 1-5 all over (except for white areas) and his coat and hat Berry red by using the Grey tones under the Red it gives the effect of light and shade without using various red shades, this technique is a really effective way to get depth in your colouring even if your colour options are limited. On his beard and gloves etc I used cool grey 1 & 2 to create some shade.
Thanks for stopping by to day and please visit TTPH and check out the fab creations from all the DT members you can even vote for your favourite!!
Looking forward to seeing all your beautiful entries in the challenge
Until next time
Nicola :)

Challenge Time Again

Hi All its Challenge time again over at TTPH.
This week our sponsor is  crafty sentiments designs and the theme is "Here comes the Girls"
I got to play with the lovely Annabel the witch Stamp.

This is what I created..... It is an A5 Landscape Card

I coloured the digi stamp with Promarkers and i used a Combination of
Shale
Cinnamon
Coral
Dusky Pink
Blush
Ivory
Grass

The Image was then Die cut with a scalloped die and Layered on to a panel made from matted and layered card in coordinating colours which have been ripped and inked at the edges to introduce texture.

The floral corsage was made from a mix of spellbinder and sizzix dies and handmade quilled flowers

These were then layered onto a panel of Kraft card punched along the border with a Martha Stewart border punch

The tree charm was made by stamping onto shrink plastic with stazon ink and coloured on the back with coral promarker then heated to shrink.

I hope you come to play along at TTPH Challenges
I can't wait to see all your wonderful creations
Thanks for stopping by today
until next time
