Hi all,

Recently I started teaching a beginners card making class at in my home on a Wednesday morning, and today I would like to share some of the projects we have made so far. This black and white card is an A6 easel card, the image is a papermania stamp stamped with black staz-on ink and highlighted with red berry  pro-marker, the papers are from the papermania capsule collection.

This next one is made using a really useful fold, the squashbook fold, it is an 8x8 piece of card , it is decorated with papers from the DCWV holiday stack and the image is a papermania topper which has been heat embossed with clear embossing powder and adhered using foam pads, the embellishments are card candi and a green ribbon... the photo on the right shows the inside of the card when opened out.

Using the squashbook fold again but this time the papers are 6x6 in size and there are 6 pieces in total, they are stuck together back to back and closed with a ribbon and bead, the paper and the image are from the First edition paper Christmas village range.

This next card is A5 in size with an A6 size card in the center with the images on again the papers used to decorate are  DCWV holiday stack, the photo to the right shows the inside where I have made a pocket to hold four christmas recipes which I downloaded from http://www.printableheaven.com/

This card is made with two 12.5 cm square cards joined together at the back the image and papers used are First edition paper Christmas village range and I used gold and green card from my stash to build up the layers the flower was made layering die cut flowers and ribbon finished with a gem and some stickles.

We still have a couple of free spaces in our class so if you or anyone you know would like to learn how to make cards similar to these please email craftycardsbynicola@gmail.com for more info.
Thanks for stopping by today

Hi there I would just like to say a big thank you to everybody who took the time to read my post from yesterday and for all the lovely positive comments and well wishes I have received, I really appreciate all the support x
Today I went to my scrapbooking class at Elaine's and this is the layout we created... using basic grey papers, Tim Holtz border die, x-cut border punch, lace, flowers and a brad!!

I am fairly new to scrapbooking but I can feel myself really getting in to it, oh dear just what I need another crafty obsession lol :D I really enjoy these classes because not only is Elaine a fantastic teacher but the other Ladies in the group are so friendly and welcoming. We had lovely relaxed morning spent in
good company, creating beautiful layouts with lots of coffee and scones on hand... what more could you ask for on a Monday morning ;) Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to  leave a comment x
